Complete bedlam as another ceasefire collapses with scores killed

Things seem to be going completely out of control in the Gaza strip as yet another cease fire has completely disintegrated. Sixteen have been reported killed in gun battles and some combatants have even been thrown off high rise building. The prime ministers house has been shot at with RPG’s and the Fatah faction has threatened to kill the entire Hamas leadership in retaliation for one of thier men being thrown off a fifteen story building..

Israel unilaterally withdrew from the Gaza strip two years ago calling it a disengagement from the Arab Populace of the strip.

Those who promoted and pushed the Gaza disengagement told the Israeli public and the world that Israel forcibly removing its own settlers would bring a new tomorrow to the region. The logic was that the Arab populace devoid of the Israeli military and settlers would start building its municipal and national infrastructure. The opponents said that anarchy would ensue if and when any pullout happened. It has become worse than all the darkest predictions as the suffering on both sides of the border have brought almost all to the realization that the unilateral pullout was a terrible mistake.

Many residents of Gaza had steady Jobs in agriculture in the Jewish settlements and this brought hard currency into the strip to fuel the economy. With sanctions and almost no Jobs now many Arabs in the strip are completely destitute depending on handouts just to survive. In addition there are reports of  the more extreme Hamas taking over the school system and changing basic curriculum. Science classes have eliminated by religious studies of extreme Islam from the Hammas  point of view.

As Israel contemplates an incursion to the strip to stop missile attacks some are wondering how this calamity will play itself out.

It’s a big mess
