Swirling rumors on the possible merger of Vodaphone with Verizon

Will Vodaphone the mobile giant buy out Verizon? Depends who you ask.

Investors believe very strongly that this 160 billion dollar take over is imminent. This has driven the stock market to record high’s with the  NASDAQ  almost reaching 14,000 points. The bulls are still running.

Leading experts have said that no merger is in the works

The merger would be the biggest of all time if it happens eclipsing AOL’s Take over of Time Warner. For its part Vodaphone denies the merger even as Verizons stock jumped. If this merger happens the humongous company would be worth 300 billion dollars. Vodaphone already owns 45% of  Verizon wireless one the leaders in the mobile phone industry. The company now has close to 200 million customers and any merger of this kind would certainly increase that number.

The market is likely to react to clear decision on vodaphone on this merger but the way the bulls are running it may make no difference at all.
