Israel enters strip early Wednesday morning in search of  terrorist cells

Gaza Strip- special MWMA report

MWMA special reporter in the Gaza Strip reports that 25-30 tanks and apc’s were seen in the early hours of Wednesday morning. This incursion into the northern part of the strip has seen some fierce clashes that included two dead and scores of wounded. The military wing of the Hamas Izandien el kassam is said to be exchanging fire with the IDF.

A spokesman for the IDF has confirmed that Israeli forces have in fact made an incursion into the strip to look for terrorist cells. These cells are the ones that may be shooting Kasam Rockets into Israeli Territory in southern Israel. There have been reports that the latest of these attacks have been carried out by a rival organization to Hamas , the Jihad Islami. The IDF apparently thinks that Hamas may be responsible as well for these attacks. There is no word on when and if the IDF will exit the strip. It is interesting to note that the Israeli army incursion happened in close proximity to a Jewish settlement that was torn down two years ago. That Israeli policy of leaving the strip was explained as initiating a process where Israel would never need to go back into the strip for anything. This was to be the window to better tomorrow.

That hasn’t happened.
