Football world in mourning after fatal burglary
The price of being rich and successful Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor has died after an apparent burglary in his home. Taylor was shot at the pale yellow house he bought two years ago in the Miami suburb of Palmetto Bay. The former all-American and all pro was a sports story success that most people can just dream about. The son of a police chief Taylor was a standout in High School, College and in the NFL. The enormity of this horrible crime is obviously heightened by the murder of a high profile athlete. There were 1,129 murders in Florida in 2006. While all this is going on the Supreme Court has put a temporary stop to all executions in the state. As human beings we should be outraged by this criminal act and demand that police and other law enforcement agencies apprehend the perpetrator. We also need to ensure that anyone involved in such acts be brought to justice and made accountable for his actions. Execution seems applicable for such a crime |
