Patriots 3 games away from a perfect season
Destiny seems to be on the side of the Patriots as they have done away with the Steelers 34-13. They are know 13-0 on the season and if something crazy doesn’t happen they are going to play one the most interesting games in NFL history. If the Patriots defeat the New York Jets next week which is likely and the winless Dolphins lose to the Ravens which is also likely, we are in for a bizarre game. That game will pit the undefeated Patriots and the winless Dolphins in the underdog Super bowl. The game will be crazy for a number of reasons. The Pats will have nothing to play for except for a perfect season as they will have rapped up a first round bye and home field advantage in the playoffs. Patriots coach Bill Belichek will want to rest his starters and not risk injury heading towards the playoffs. On the other hand the lure of a perfect season is not lost on Belichek and he would want to ensure a perfect season heading in to the playoffs. Will he even start Tom Brady and Randy Moss or other star players? No one knows yet. The Dolphins on the other hand will have nothing to lose and will probably be incredibly motivated to win at least one game. They will also try to ensure a former Dolphin team its singular place in NFL history. The 72 Dolphins are so far the only team with a perfect record. Expect the Dolphins to win this one, its going to be fun. Heck most Patriot fans will be rooting for the Dolphins. |
