Fanatic Moslem f Fanatic Moslem father strangles own daughter.
An all too familiar murder on religious grounds by a Moslem family has happened even in Canada.
Honor killing have made headlines in the west describing horrific murder perpetrated by family members on a daughter or wife that were seen as breaking with traditional Islam. The typical murder could have happened to a adolescent daughter who dated before marriage or was suspected of pre-marital sex. In Moslem countries these brutal acts sometimes done sometimes even by the mother of a rebellious girl would have some understanding and even praise. These heinous acts have by and large not happened in western countries where immigrants from Moslem countries have emigrated.
Till now.
Aqsa Parvez was murdered by her father for not wanting to wear the traditional head dress or the hijab.
He showed little remorse in his brief appearance at a Brampton court. He probably had little remorse as he is ready to sit in jail convinced that killing his daughter with his own hands is g-ds will.
In possibly the understatement of the century a brother was quoted as saying that the family
was “ upset ” over the girls death. He did add that his mother was sick over the incident.
Fundamental Islam practiced by the family of this girl dictated her gruesome murder. There is nothing that can be done in the long term to possibly avoid a reoccurrence of such a tragedy. That may be the saddest part of this horrible episode. |
