Fouad Amhed al-Farhan a dissident of sorts is under arrest

Saudi blogger arrested.

Fouad Amhed al-Farhan a noted blogger who runs a blog called Alfarhan was arrested by Saudi security agents at his office in Jeddah. His laptop has been confiscated and he has been under arrest for 2 weeks without any formal charges. His exact whereabouts are unknown amid outcry from the members of human rights groups. The Saudis have come under much scrutiny as of late of human rights abuses. A bizarre incarceration of a rape victim brought huge criticism from all over. Later under intense pressure the Saudi king pardoned the women but the damage had been done to the credibility of the Saudi legal system. Farhan has long been challenging the legitimacy of authotarian rule in the kingdom and now he is suffering the consequences.

Inquiries to the Saudi embassy by some of his colleagues in Washington have so far gone unanswered,
