Virginia-
Students have returned to Virginia Tech after a week of mourning for the horrible massacre that occured a week ago. It literally boggles the mind to think that one crazed indivudual could cause so much harm to so many. Death is a sobering thing when it occurs naturally but when it is mass murder it becomes a nightmare. Nightmares cause long term problems in some. sort of battle shock. It still is unclear what the after affects will be on the student body and the future of the entire university. After all who will want to study at a place of such sorrow agony and death. The gunman wanted to destroy the university and understood that killing so many would possibly deter students from coming to study. We will need to wait and see what enrollment will be like come registration time. In the meantime the student body is returning. Its hard to imagine how those first classes will be like. Very hard. |
