Terrorist act thwarted, for now.
J.F.K. International airport was the target of Wannabee Terrorists that attempted blow up the fuel depots and lines at New York’s biggest international airport. This attempt thwarted by The F.B.I. has raised even more concern about radical Islamic elements in the US that are determined to carry out a major terrorist attack on American soil. There seen to be an abundance of targets throughout the US and much motivation on the part of the terrorists, some wonder if it’s just a matter of time. Its very fortunate that these terrorists have decided not to target for now softer targets in more outlying areas as these would have higher success rates. Some experts have commented on the major effort to screen airplane passengers that seem to go over the top is possibly laying the groundwork for a different type of terrorist attack. The one we don’t know about yet. All those that at one time or another been have witnessed or themselves gone thru extreme security checks at airports know that something is very wrong with the security system. When everyone is scrutinized equally mistakes will happen somehow someway. Racial profiling is illegal in the United States making the a ninety year old woman an equal threat as a twenty five year old that looks to come from a middle eastern country. There need to be new guidelines set up to improve security and not bother people that are obviously not a threat to anyone. Until a more logical reasonable plan is put forth security will look stringent but will be in reality lax, dangerously so. |
