Texas executes former cop
Texas keeps them coming and going Michael Griffith a former law enforcement officer was executed Wednesday in Texas for the brutal slaying of a Houston woman in 1994. He had no last statement other than no Sir before lethal chemicals were introduced into his body to kill him. It is very rare for a police officer to face the death penalty but in Texas all types get their day as it is the most prolific execution state in the union. He was heard to mumble a prayer as the drugs took effect and didn’t seem in any discomfort thru the entire process. There has been much talk about the drug mixture that may cause extreme discomfort to the condemned man but in Texas the show must go on. Hey who ever said dieing was fun? There is even a woman who is scheduled to die for an abominable murder of an infant in her care. That execution will undoubtedly receive a lot of press as the thought of executing a woman seems more difficult to deal with. Texas is still a wild wild place. |
